Brooke Budner is an Orcas Island-based artist and farmer. An accomplished illustrator, her artistic passions range widely from drawing and found-object sculpture to woodworking and design. While studying at the Rhode Island School of Design, Brooke became interested in farming and after moving to San Francisco, co-founded an urban farm called Little City Gardens. When she moved to the Pacific Northwest, she started a Company called Landsea which makes seasoning blends based on seaweed and other wildcrafted ingreadients. She continues to strike a balance between her agricultural and artistic endeavors, creating artwork at the same time as growing, gathering and preserving food, building a small house, raising livestock, playing the banjo, raising her son and consistently pursuing new skills.
